I get a call from a colleague at work that my car window was rolled down. When I got outside, a good citizen had been watching my car for an hour. He said he had told security over an hour ago. The passenger window was rolled down. I was worried that it was shattered from a break-in, but it was just rolled down. I have no idea how. I usually keep all the windows closed while driving. I certainly would have noticed an passenger window while coming into work. I'm guessing I accidentally depressed the switch just long enough to activate the auto-down while grabbing my wallet in the center console as I exited. It's a stretch, but I don't know how else to explain it. I need more sleep and coffee. Has this happened to anyone else?

 

Not this specificaly that i can remember but there are a lot of people that report on the windows not staying up all the way, or coming down 1/2 way after auto roll up.

So check those threads (searchis your friend) and see if there is anything that can help explain this strange behavior.

 

i remember and saw those as well. there was one thread as well about someone's drivers and passenger side windows opening by themselves all the way. i guess the real point of my thread is that i must have been crazy not my window.

 

Yeah, I had this problem, there's an easy fix for it in the other thread.

 

happened to me with pass window and sunfroof. I was told it was my remote and had the feature for open window on rremote turned off. Hasnt happened since then.

 

Same thing happens to me. Alternates between both windows. I think it's related to whatever causes my auto-up to randomly stop working.

My SA says the "stops" need adjustment. But on both windows? And randomly one, then the other? Riiiight...

 

That's comforting, especially since I street park.

 

i've searched around a little bit, but didn't find any more information.

mine doesn't have the auto up-down problem, but for the past two days i've come out to drive to work in the morning and the windows are 3/4 of the way down. i did the reset and now whenever i unlock the car the roll down 1/4 of the way, no matter if i hold the button in or not.

anybody else still running into this...?
