helicoil tang removal help

Just installed a helicoil in my blown spark plug hole and all seems to be fit and snug. Just cannot get the tang removed. I've been everywhere looking for a long set of needle nose pliers but no dice on finding them as long as I need. Any advise recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If you did the coil with the head in place you should have gone with a backtap instead. You could try to break it with a screw driver and then use a magnet to get it out. However, I would remove the head instead.

got it. chaulk it up to luck or what have you but I used some thin metal 'rope' I had around the house and looped the tang. Then used some greese to put a small coat in the plug hole.. pulled up on the metal rope and it snapped right up and stuck to the greese in the hole. then used a long magnet I had to grab and toss it out. Phew.. what a fun time. false alarm I guess but thanks so much 'daflake' for your quick response. I did try the backtap method but the hole seemed to be too stripped, The helicoil worked great and hopefully the end result is good as well. thanks again!!
