heres a problem that has me stumped
ok heres a problem that has me stumped, i have plenty of coolant and all acuaters work in the HVAC unit they all open close and such and i removed the cover for the heater core and it gets plenty hot ware i cannot touch it beacause it will burn me and my heater fan blows full force yet i have no heat at all, if i stay in place and let the car run for 20 minutes they start blowing heat, warm not hot- then when i start moving it gets cold again and my heater core stayed super hot all thorou the driving, so i know its not the thermostat
also sometimes one side will be warm and the other side blows cold ? any ideas guys what could cause this

There should be a door within the system that most manufacturers call a "blend" door. That door determines how much outside air you get at ambient temperature versus how much air you get through the heater core/AC condenser. That door probably isn't working. It will be actuated when turning the hot/cold ****. I'm not sure where it's at but that, or the cable(s) or vacuum actuator that operate it, are almost certainly the culprit(s).

I know on older american autos that was notorious for sticking. My '96 dadge truck has the same issue and I know that is it.
On the MINI I do not know if the door can be accessed easily or not but I would check with a shop to have it checked. I know on my truck you have to remove the entire dash which is why I have not had it fixed yet and why I do not drive it on really cold days.
