Hey Guys, last night after a few hard pulls to redline I have a power loss. Power is fine till around 4800-5000 rpm then it hits a wall and takes 4 seconds or so to get from 5000 to 6000. I though maybe its limp mode but it isnt accompanied by a CEL. I threw a code for a failing throttle position sensor around three weeks ago but it went away after a day or two. Any thoughts? Thanks.

 

I think it probably has everything to do with your throttle position sensor. Many mid-90's VW's had a similar issue, and the TPS was to blame. Since had a code recently that coincides, I would deffinately start there.
