Trying to track down the rattle in the sunroof when closed on our '05 MCS. This happens when closed, but will go away with a quick tap to the button to open. So I was hunting around looking at the mechanism to see what could be loose when closed. There are a few areas to grease and I found the procedure while searching the forums. But I also came across cracked plastic parts, including the arms that work the sunroof when closed and tilted open. Here is a pic:


Is it normal to be cracked like this?? Does anyone else have this piece cracked?? Just tilt open your sunroof and look from the outside in under the glass. I really can't tell if this would cause the issue or if they will eventually fall off. They don't seem loose on the arm, though.

I've had the dealer try twice already to find the rattle, but they just say they add felt or stops in places. Happens again right away so I know they don't actually test drive it.
