the LCD display under my speedo says "inspection" and next to it it has a -9189 or something like that. does that mean i need to get an inspection in that many miles or something??? never seen this before

also, I have an automatic, and the other day, instead of it having a "P" or "N,R,D" on there for what gear i was in it just said "EP"
anybody know what that is??

That's the inspection counter. That's how many miles you have to go before you need an inspection.

But is it a negative number? I think that means you're over due!

 

"EP" is a malfunction in the transmission's software. Unless it clears itself immediately, you should let the dealer diagnose it.

 

A negative number means you're that many miles "overdue". Did you recently have an inspection? (Perhaps they forgot to reset the counter.)

How many miles are on the odometer?

 

the EP went away.. it was reallly cold one night and then it did that.. but i havent seen it sense.

I havent had an inspection in a while... haha its -9000+ miles......i guess I'll make an appointment hha
