Need new battery cover!

When replacing the battery on my 03 Cooper, I snapped off one of the clips on the battery cover. From what I understand it's not hard to do and others have had similar problems when removing the plastic covers. Anyway does anyone know where I can buy a new battery cover? I can always contact the dealer but was hoping for another source.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I had typed something but I just saw you have a MC and not an MCS, so never mind.

Battery Cover Replacement

I just had to replace the battery cover in my 2004 Cooper. The OEM part number is 61216924895. It's not an expensive part. I ordered mine from pelicanparts.com for $25.

Dont worry about it... because the next time you go to remove it in a couple years it might break again..... You must be super careful when removing that cover... those clips are delicate

Right. Totally cosmetic and not a huge deal at all. The battery is obviously not going to come flying through the bonnet because those clips are gone. My previous battery carried me 6 years though. Unusual yes, but I don't plan on opening that cover again for a long while. Might as well not be broken for $25.

haha No worries then.. Yeah there is a metal hold down for the battery itself. no worries about the actual battery.
