Punch leather 1 year and no problems. I was a little concerned with using the seat heater on leather, but no problems yet. Do you have heated seats? Are you using the seat heater shortly after treating the seats? I tend to agree with earlier posts that your cleaner is a likely source of the problem. Adding heat would likely increase the chemical reaction, making it worse. Either that or you are wearing pants with a sandpaper insert in the butt area!!

If you are going to use leather products on your leather.....I would highly recommend ONLY using MINI's own car care products. They have a leather car care kit. This will help keep from having warranty issues.

This site paid off for me. Took my mini in today to have the window dipper fixed and pointed out that the left side of my punch leather seat is all scratched. The SA called her manager over who did not bat an eye and said that they would replace the entire seat ONCE, but only once. I told him that I had a new saddle for my horse shipped from Englad and it arrived within a day of my mini. The leather on it is still in perfect condition after daily use and looks better then my car seat. I thanked him and said that if it happens again, while under warranty, we WILL be having this discussion ONCE again.

I was ready for what the dealer might say on both issues thanks to the search feature on NAM and all the folks that post.

Jim
