Moisture on drivers side window?

When its wet or if i wash my car its as if water gets inside thearea where the window gos into the door. When i close and then open it i will have water streaks on the window, if its rainy out it fogs up 10 times faster than rest of car. I also think windnoise is comeing from window which they say they adjusted to fix problem in past. Bringing it in for this and squeaky sunroof next week.

i am having the same problem in my Clubman. Even if the car sits overnight after a rain and is completly dry, if i roll the window down then up it will be streaked with water. Excess fog that will not wipe off with a roll down (a technique i have used in every car i have owned) seems to be a problem as well. i am wondering if the seal from the door to the window is bad ? Should i be worried about rust inside the door panel ?

It is not a bug, it is a MINI feature. Get used to it.

It will be interesting to see if they can fix the seals between the door and window. In my experience, it's pretty rare to have window seals that are tight enough to always wipe off the window, although some older Mercedes were pretty good for this. For all others, this streaking is common.

Don't worry about rust inside the doors, all cars doors vent water through them; there's no way to make a watertight seal with a sliding window and still have the window slide. That's why the big, rubber weather seals are on the inside part of the door sill, not the outside. Also, if you look carefully at the rear part of the Mini's door, there's a even a rain gutter above the door latch, to guide rain away from the latch.

For some cars, I believe the moisture is the source of many of the window gremlins. Shorting out the switch in the door causing the windows to rolldown, sun-roof to open and the doors to unlock.

I didn't mean to talk you out of anything. If you think the moisture is really excessive, then ask your SA about it while you're checking in for your service. They'll have the car to look at and will be able to tell you better than I can if it's a problem. I'm just offering up my experience, which may or may not apply to your car.

Just be aware that there's a chance it could be normal, or there isn't much they can do.

Where water in the window will cause problems is at the connectors and those are pretty weatherproof, so exposing them to water dripping down a window shouldn't effect them. There's is, however, always the chance they could be assembled wrong and go bad.
