I recently was looking for plugs for my R56. I saw them on the web for an unbelieveable $24.95 EACH ! When did spark plugs go from around $5.00 to this rip off price?????
those sound like hi performance plugs, probly have 3 arches for the spark to hit. if not yeah your getting ripped off just bought normal plugs for a 280z and they were like 3 each
It seems $3 each is a fair price. I saw the outrageous price on Mini Mania's website and I sent them basically the same message I sent above. Thanks for the reply.
I pay about $12 each for plugs for a SAAB AERO. Have not had the need for plugs for the Mini but I'm expecting about the same. $25 is way over the top! Dan
Looks like someone is intending to get wealthy at $25 a pop. I remember when I was a young lad, sparks plugs for my Austin Healey Sprite topped out at $.95, let than four bucks for the set.
My AERO is a full stage three tune. Makes 25 on the boost guage. Platinum plugs. Turbo is about three times the size of the "mini" turbo on the mini. Plugs easily go 30,000 miles. As said $12 ea. Dan
... which is about right.... I paid $60 including shipping for the 4 Brisk plugs I'm running now... $12-$15 is pretty common for good plugs. $3 isn't...
These are only single prong plugs, specific for this vehicle. If you plan on getting new plugs, I suggest getting factory ones, or at least do your research on which plugs are the correct heat range and such.
I needed spark plugs for a Jan tune>> My GP had 30,000 miles on it. I tried to get a hold of the original plugs ,no one had them except Hendrick Mini in Charlotte. I paid $44.00 each!! Yep> thats correct $44.00 each I was astonished with the price but I was in a bind and needed the spark plugs. The Hendricks customer service peiple went above and beyond my exectations as they sent them to me for delivery in the mail nex day. I paid for that myself but $44.00 is a lot of bucks for one spark plug!!
Morristown Mini quoted me a price of $18.56 per plug for an R56S. I think there are not a lot of plugs the fit the car. The only regular one I have found that is not OEM is the NGK Laser Iridium ILZKBR7A-8G for about $14.

Hope they kissed and whispered sweet nothings in your ear too.... You could have gotten a set of Brisk from Jan for just a little more than ya paid for one plug.....or a set of Denso...or....
PS: With a RMW cam, tune and header I would have thought you'd need a colder plug than OEM....maybe not.

Jan didnt have any with him the plugs that I got are the JCW plugs Remember I have a GP>> The plugs in the GP are colder than the normal S plug. If I could have got them on line they would have been $12 each but no one had any in stock. OH well what do you do?
