R56 New Radiator

Hi,
I was just informed that my radiator needs replacement. (of course out of warranty :( ). It seems that somehow it got a dent. Not sure how that happened since I don't have any on the outside. Nevertheless, I have a quote from the dealer for $1200 for a radiator replacement. My biggest question is that is that an appropriate price? What do 07 mini (non S) radiators go for? What is a nominal labor charge to replace one?
Just concerned and shopping around!

The radiator is $234. I suspect the other $900 + is the labor to get to it.

RealOEM came up with this part number, 17117535099

Pelican Parts has it for about $245. No idea on labor to install. Could be a lot of parts to remove to get to it adding to the cost.

Go here and look up your part

Go here and enter the part number

Radiator should cost around $250
Labor is about 4 hours

I am having my air conditioner condenser replaced by the dealer . It sits right in front of the radiator so the labor is about the same. The condenser cost $625 and the total cost to replace the condenser and charge the AC system is $1300 (including the $625 for the condenser), so $1200 for a radiator seems high.

By the way you can trust pelicanparts. Delivery takes about a week, but the part are genuine and the service is great. I buy all my mini and BMW parts from them.

I just took a look at mine.(non S). If you had the time, it looks like it wouldnt be too difficult to do. Lots of bits and pieces to remove.

According to the BMW/MINI TIS the AC coolant has to be drained for the AC condenser to be moved in order to remove the radiator.
