Buying a 2005 MINI Convertible

I love this car, but I wish it was a six speed and not automatic.

Hearing about the CVR transmissions I wonder what everyone says.

Help,

Steve

My wife drives an '05 Cooper Convertible with the Getrag 5-speed. She loves it - it's been a great car so far...

Do you mean the CVT gearbox?

The S version has a true auto transmission which works quite well, but I'd never encourage anyone to buy the non-S CVT version; too many people had trouble with it.
