Engine Warning / Scan Code P113C

Howdy,
Not sure you have the code # right.. The P codes are usually all numbers.. So the "C" on the end is a bit confusing..
If it is a P113? level of code, that is pointing to the O2 sensors. However, that last number is key to identifying the issue Pre cat or post etc..
If that is really a P0113 then that is an Intake Air Temp Sensor 1 circuit too high.
Once you get the error code figured out more that will help guide you to the issue.. Also, doing a google search with "OBD P----" usually works in translating the code..
Good luck,
BBCooper

Thanks for the tips. The search tip seems to work well except for this particular code.
The scanner I used definitelyl shows P113C (two of us wrote it down), but it has not re-surfaced since clearing the code last week. When it does, I'll check again. Maybe the C was the beginning of a description for "C02"?
Thanks!

This is a friend's generic scanner that I used, and I don't think he has the book. Looks like maybe I should purchase a scanner. If anyone has recommendations, please share. I saw some ideas in other threads. I'm guessing a generic device would be fine so long as I can reconcile the codes...

I recommend getting a ScanGaugeII from here: http://www.scangauge.com/
It costs a bit more than your typical scanner, but it can also do way more... check it out. I know I love mine!

Where do you find the code?

of the scanner brand's website.
What's the generic scanner's brand and model number?

I also have a 2006 Mini Cooper displaying P113c. I am sure this is right. I usea CodeReader from Innova Electronics, www.CodeReader.com and their web site does not list it.
I have had the SES light on permanently since the car was new until the cylinder head was recently replaced due to a leaky exhaust valve (thankfully under warranty!).
This code, P113c, however is new and appeared after my daughter was learning to drive it, it being a standard and her experience being with an automatic. I am hoping the frequent stalling was the cause of it and it will go away this time.
The car runs fine with the SES light on. When the cylinder head/exhaust valve failed it flashed and it was obvious there was something wrong.
