A challenge for the Varsity Players

I've noticed that the R57 convertible has what I see as the dumbest "cutie" touch in the world with their "Always Open Meter", positioned surprisingly close to where a boost guage would be most welcome. Now I don't even have the first 1000 miles on my R56, but I know there are some enterprising souls watching this list.

We know that MINI makes a part that mounts a factory guage to the right of the tach. We know they come stock on the convertibles. Who is going to take the bait and engineer a mod to retrofit the R57 Always Open Meter onto an R56 with a nice AutoMeter Boost guage in place of that stupid timer? The factory has already done part of the work.
