Need help engine won't start

I have an 05 cooper s and earlier that they my dsc light was on and wouldn't go off. And the car hesitated to start a couple of times but when start it drove well. I was on the freeway and going from 3rd to 4th and the car shut off completely and won't start back up. The a/c was blowing hot air and the green light on the a/c button didn't turn on. I checked the fuses and found in the f3 slot under the bonnet to be blow i replaced but still no start. Does anyone have a obd scanner near corona or yorba linda that i can borrow?
thanks Frank

i moved around relays and still no start. I checked fuel, and the compression is at 150. How do i check if there is spark to the plugs? ordered a obd 2 scanner should come in tomorrow.

You could pull the plugs again and leave them connected to the coils. You'll get a spark when you turn it over. The scanner's really gonna help. Here's the fault code index.

Ok i just recieved my obd 2 scanner and 3 codes came up.
P0646 A/C Clutch Relay Control Circuit Low
P2301 Ignition Coil "A" Primary Control Circuit High
P2304 Ignition Coil "B" Primary Control Circuit High

I have a msd coil and i just put my stock one back on and i am still having no spark. I checked the fuese and they all seem to be good. Just don't know how to check the relays i swamped some around but still no start. The car stalled when the a/c was on but the a/c wasn't working. Could it be a bad a/c relay. Thanks Frank

cant help with the coil codes ; my manual gives no explanation , i can only suggest checking all connections and look for corrotion but mainly i would put the oem coil pack back on . the a/c sounds like the clutch seized and blew the fuse and that's what generated the code . or there's a short there and the blown fuse still generated the code . try a coil pack .

So i put the oem coil back on and still no spark to the plugs. I checked to see if there is power going to the coil and there is. The oem coil was working just fine before i took it off.

k the coil fires from input from dme ; or when correct pathway opened via dme. find the dme relay k6300 and check it to other of same type . check ohms and fire it off a spare batt or swap it to check actuation . also see if any other fuses blown , say to crank sensor cam sensor etc. hope it's just a relay .

tyhe dme needs to see correct inputs from other things in order to provide signal or whatever to fire coils. so the dme has a main relay and there are several other fuses to other things dme wants to see . do all fuses first. then power to dme relay , then is it actuating ? then is dme getting power ? others can tell you if dme powered simply by what is lit on dash etc. i'd say it is or your codes would be other than . so it's down to what is not powered or what dme is not getting . this i'm thinking would throw a code too so it's power to coil issue or dme issue or fuse . look real good at the connectoron coil pack and with key out check for good ground .check 20a fuse 02 for power the red wire to coil should be hot .

also double check the k19 relay. this comes straight off the fuse f03 that you say blew . it then goes to the dme . if this relay is good and fuse is holding ,whatever blew the fuse is now bad . it really is looking like dme but double check all fuses etc.

Is the crankcase sensor hard to get to. If im getting powet to the coil plug the relay must be working. I want to check the crankcase sensor to see if there is power coming from it while i try to start the car. Is it easy to unplug and get a multimeter to.

you checked dme relay? to see if picking ? without that bad boy you wont start . power to coil is one thing, from there it goes into dme and pathway is done in dme . you blew fuse 03 which is just a relay fuse for a/c . but other side of the relay goes to dme see? seems awful coincidence .

I recently had a flat battery, which, when I charged it up again, had mysteriously left me with a loss of alignment between the DME (ECU) and the EWS (immobilizer). The EWS locks out spark and fuel if it doesn't get a satisfactory 'reply' from the DME. Weird, but a trip to the dreaded dealer and a "realignment" on their proprietary computer had it up and at 'em again.

f03 is connected to the cam position sensor, both o2 sensor heating circuits, and AC compressor relay. sounds like you may have a short or dead cam sensor.

I've seen F03 blown and the car runs, not very well because the cam sensor is in a default but it still runs, thats why your AC compressor doesn't work is because withouth power from F03 you get no power to the relay... same as why that fault is there.

If it was a cam sensor or even a crankcase sensor wouldn't that throw a p code?

frank go to 610-22 in your bently . the sensor wires are right there . then go to ele - 82 the red /green is the hot while the car cranks see if anything on the other two wires ; one at a time check them to ground on vdc setting
you can check at the cam sensor or over at the dme 53 and 72 . i'd say the blk and violet is the one you need going hot . just stick meter lead into the wire carefully and put other lead on ground . put dialectric greese over it after . sorry i didnt pick up on this for ya but didnt know it came off that fuse too . these prints suck .
