Hoping its not the pump. But figuring it is. Anyone please let me know I am leaving for CA in 10 days. And need to fix it. And don't wanna get it diagnosed
Hey this thread is old -- but I would like to know what the issue ended up being...was it the power steering pump?

I picked up a Pint of CHF 11S and was going to try to suck as much out of the top as I could and then add some new to trop it off. At lease its getting some clean fluid. Just haven't found the time to try yet. Any feedback would be appreciated.

That is easy to do & certainly won't hurt a thing. Maybe do at the next 3 oil changes & call it done. Not a bad idea, may do that myself.

I'm in the Techron and Turkey Baster camp. It seems to work for a lot of folks; learned about it over on Bob is the Oil guy forums.

I am a firm unbeliever in 'lifetime' fluids. My call, change it. When I got my R52 the first thing I did was change trans oil, brake fluid/clutch, diff, engine. There are always wear particles created and such that the only way to deal with is to drain them away.
