Hi Everyone! I'm new to the forum. I have a 2008 Mini that I utterly enjoy. Yesterday, while I was driving some winding back roads, the red battery light came on. But it only stayed on for a few minutes, and hasn't come back on since that time. I only have 18,000 on this car and was wondering what would cause battery issues at this point, or if it normal that the alternator would be giving out. Any suggestions?

Got a DVOM? Do a basic charging system check.

 

that something is loose. But then it will show up again and get worse. Also, you're under warrantee. Let the dealer know and they'll tell you they can't replicate it yadda yadda yadda... But it will then be documented in your service record for when it does come back or get worse.
