Found this screw on the passenger floor

Shaking out the mats, I found this screw on the passenger side, right at the seat front. It's possible it came from something I bought at the local home center (like a sprinkler head or something) that fell out of the bag/box on the way home.

Anybody recognize it as a Mini part?

2009 Mini Clubman S.

I'd bet that is not from your MINI. My thought is if it came from your MINI it would have a torx head not a slotted head.

Is it metric?

I am with Crashton on this. Unlikely Mini. Especially if it is SAE.

I would take it to an auto parts, home depot, etc where they have a thread gauge and if its sae you are good ( I with the posters that think mini would have used a torx head).

That's not a MINI bolt, looks like a sort of set/holding screw and there's nothing on the MINI like that especially passg foot area so it's all good.

Keep Motoring!

No worries. I checked it this morning at Lowe's and it's threaded 8-32. I recently did some sprinkler work at the house (new valves, a couple of new sprinkler heads) and I used the Mini to haul the stuff home. It probably fell out of one of those boxes. Thanks for the "check the threads" tip!
