Ok, I'm not the best mechanic in the world but I do enjoy checking the basic things on my vehicles. The engine oil stick is easy enough to find but where the heck is the transmission dip stick? I can't even find any mention is the manual other than a statement about refering to the dealer for more information. Anyone found it or have any other info, maybe I am just dense and can't see it sitting in front of my face.

Do you have a Manual, or the CVT?

Most (all?) manuals have no dip stick for the transmission. So, if you have the 5 or 6 speed manual you can stop looking. I'm not sure if the CVT has one or not (nothing shows up in the owner's manual).

Hope this helps...

DaveG.... that's what I was gonna say after BigM answered my question... i was just hoping to avoid having to tell him that manual's don't have a 'dipstick'... the only way to check is to open up the plug on the tranny and stick a small bent piece of wire... not something you'd want to have to do...

The CVT does not have one. It is a maintenance free tranny. Fill once and go. That is what they say anyway.
