Gave a jump to another car and now mine will not start

Gave a jump to another car and when I got gas a hour later it started up alright. Drove for another hour and then shut off the car and it would not turn on and can not jump it. Had to push it to jump start it. The battery appears to be dead ? Any thoughts . No problems until today.

Are you sure you didn't jump it and reverse the polarity? Did you make the last connection to the the engine block, rather than the battery, of the car you were jumping?

Sounds like you reversed polarity. You probably blew out the alternator. You may also have damaged computer and other electronic components.

On any other car It usually just a main fuse and or a breaker. I would be very surprised if BMW didnt do the same.
