R56 Wiper Blades
Is it just me or do the stock wiper blades totally suck? There are streaks all over my windshield every time I spray it and when I wash my car I have to really try to get rid of whatever residue builds up where to wipers touch. Maybe it is window wash, maybe not.
Any good suggestions for blades? I was considering just trying rainex and seeing how it works w/o blades.

I have the Dealer replace mine every 6 months and I live in Rain Country. You can put a treatment on your wiper blades with 303 Aerospace Protectant, do this while washing your car or each week and they should stay supple and work better.
I also make my own Washer Fluid with Distilled Water and Washer Fluids Tablets I buy from www.autogeek.com.

I switched to the Bosch "evolution" I think they're called. Work great, no streaks and have lasted quite awhile. Don't trust measurement given by auto parts store manuals, mine were wrong. Measure your existing and you're good
Other tip is to wax or at least put some QD on your glass. Beads up and wind takes off most of rain

first step is to be sure your glass is CLEAN - REALLY CLEAN. Crud that you can't even see can chew up the blades and cause streaking. I routinely run over all my glass with single edge razor blades .. you'd be amazed the amount of stuff I pick up and most consider me a very frequent car washer. But a razor IS a little extreme...
I highly recommend using a clay bar on your front glass - just like what it does for the paint you'll amazed what comes up.
Clay I'm ready to toss from paint use, I save for the glass. Griot is even marketing special glass cleaning clay http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1
if the wipers begin to streak or stick, out comes the clay at the next wash.
AND don't forget to clean the wiper blades when you wash the car. A quick rub with soapy water to ensure there's no dried bug bits or other crud is the other half of the equation
