JCW cutting power during overboost

My 09 JCW is cutting power during overboost, is this boost cut? After breaking the car in properly, I starting "getting on it" enough to put the car into it's overboost feature. since then, every time I get into overboost, it cuts out a couple of times, like it is hitting boost cut. the dealer pulled the codes and all the computer stored for a code that was for "super knocking caused by low fuel or poor quality fuel." I have always run Shell or Chevron 91 oct and it does this power cut EVERY day. the dealer keeps telling me this is "normal" and they can't reproduce it and it isn't giving them any codes. WTF is going on? Anyone else having this problem? I don't have a boost gauge, so I can't see what is going on.

What rpm does it cut boost at? How close to redline?

Is the car sufficient warm when this happens?

Did the dealer look at the fuel pump and the fuel filter?

Definately go to a different gas station for the next few tanks.

I just recently started to see if it was RPM related. It seems to happen more often just above 3000 RPM, not even close to redline. I have to have the pedal to the floor or close to flooring it. This happens whether the car is warm or cold. I had it at the dealer & mentioned this to them, they couldn't reproduce it so they blew it off. As a side note, I have had the water pump replaced 2 times. AND I have tried multiple different gas stations around my city & it doesn't affect this "stutter" I get.

I'm sick of hearing about dealers not sorting stuff out, they're always full of excuses. Start raising some hell over there, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with these things

interesting..... I have been having a similar issue i believe. It does not happen all the time but seems to happen after start up (cold start) at lower rpms when taking off from a stop light for example. I just installed Alta Turboback and turbo inlet hose??

Once car is warmed up within minutes this does not happen anymore??

My car only has 11.5k miles. I would suspect in my case either bad gas? I have thrown engine codes since the exhaust from a running to lean code to bad o2 sensor. Check engine light comes and goes without resetting it.

Question?? If o2 sensor reads that the car is running to lean, would the ecu cause it to run richer in return to getting to much fuel? Which in return cause my issue?

Have you tried turning off DTC? I believe it will cut engine power when it senses that the drive wheels are both slipping under acceleration.

JAS76,
You really shouldn't be putting your foot into it when the car isn't well warmed up. You want the oil temp up to normal operating temp before hammering it. Cold oil isn't going to lubricate the parts properly.
