EML and Service Engine Soon Indicator light up at 49k

Both EML and "Service Engine soon" indicator light up out of sudden after driving medium hard on cold start. Weather outside is 52F. The car loss its power right after then. Pull over restart the car and the eml light is off. Power resume but the service engine soon indicator still light up. Still can be drive around after that although the light stays on. After 4 days, the Service Engine Light is off. I guess the system must restart itself according to what ppl says at forum.

I drove the car around then but there is no more indicator light up. Should I have the car diagnosed at the dealership. I have 49K miles on it now. I am the original owner, have been taking good care of it ever since. I never took the car to the track. Most of the miles are highway. ANy suggestions from you guys out there will be very appreciated

I just had this exact thing happen on my '06 with 30k miles on it. The codes it threw were P0638 and P1125, which are related to the throttle. The dealership determined that the entire engine wiring harness needed to be replaced, and I was glad to have it done under warranty. Since you're right at the edge, I think that having the dealer look at your car would probably be a good idea. Even if they don't fix it now, you'll have proof that something went wrong before your warranty was up.

Thanks for the response. However now that the indicator is gone. Will the dealer be willing to acknowledge of that problem which you mentioned. Unless they can still pull that code now with the indicator off. If thats the case i will make an appointment ASAP.
