Bad Oil Leak

Bad Oil Leak
Hey Guys,
I have an 07 MCS with a very bad oil leak. The leak is comming from behind or to the driver side / behind the turbo. From underneath I can see the drip (right on my exhaust pipe) but can't see the source.
If I go between the grill and the motor to the driver side of the turbo with an inspection mirror pointed upwards I can see what appears to be a circular flange of some sort with what might be bolts in it but I can only position the mirror to see 1 nut.
Anyone know what this is.
I'll attach a picture....but you have to look into the mirror to see it....
Again this is to the driver side of the turbo....lined up with the first spark plug on the driver side.
In the picture...the silver area to the top is the turbo shield, the black strip is the grill...
Anyone have any pictures oif this motor out? That might help me
Thanks
Bobby

I can't ID what's in the mirror, but the oil filter housing sits very near that area you described (under the radiator overflow container). Has anyone changed the oil filter recently and the leak show up after that? Cracked filter housing? It's plastic, and will crack if overtorqued. Just my $0.02 worth

Yes.... it's very close to the filter housing...but it doesn't seem to be the filter housing. It's a few inches to the passenger side of the motor. A mechanic tryed to tell me it was the rear seal, but no way...there's no oil coming out of the bell housing hole.
There's something else in that area, but it's very hard to see.... a picture of the motor would probally tell me
Thanks for your reply

This is an answer I just got from a mechanic on justanswer.com...
[FONT=Consolas][SIZE=3]Hi,
up behind the heat shielding on the front of the block is the union for the for the turbo oil feed line. This oil line is pressurized so when they start to leak they leak alot. The line and union can be seen as number 6 in the diagram HERE. If you do find that it is this line that is leaking you'll have to replace the complete pipe and not just the o-rings at each end. Also try and avoid driving the car as increasing the oil temp and pressure will only cause it to leak faster.
These engine are also prone to leak from the rear main oil seal as you said but also from the from crank seal but the majority of leaks found are from the sump seal.
Now If I can get a good manual with a step by step...maybe I'll do it myself.
Anyone know where I cab buy a good manual?

Here we go guys,
We dug into this today....
It was the heat exchanger gasket that was leaking...
The gasket inlay was flat and flush or below the gasket groove...I supose the heat got to it.
And this is what you have to do to get at it.
The dealer...mechanic from prestige who told me it was a rear seal was fill of it....I hope he's here reading this.
