Growl/winding noise CVT!

Growl/winding noise CVT!

Mini is making a growling/winding sound from start until around 60mph. Doesn't do it at idle. Do you think it is the CVT? It winds up the faster you go and winds down slowing.

Sounds like it could be a CVT problem, how old is your car? what sort of miles on it? Definitely needs to be checked out. Good luck hope it's something minor.

I reported this thread be moved to first gen probs and fixes, as sec gen cars do not have the CVT. hopefully there youwill find some answers. good luck
