CEL/Increased Emissions warning & failure to start, at 120 miles!
I traded in my 2006 MCSC the other day for a 2010 MC. I really like it so far. But I was disheartened to have the check engine/increased emissions light come on just a few days after picking it up, with only 120 miles on the car.
I haven't had any other problems so I thought it'd probably be no big deal (waiting for dealer service to call me back to schedule appointment), but earlier today (after filling up with gas for the first time) the car wouldn't start at the gas station. It sounded like it was trying, but it just wouldn't go; for a while I heard a loud clicking sound. One time it started but then seemed to die right away. Eventually on the 5th or 6th try it started and since then it's acted completely normal.
Anyone have similiar experiences, or any ideas? From what I've read, the CEL issue can sometimes mean absolutely nothing or something big.
I do plan to just drop in on the dealer tomorrow and have them look at it. They can at least check the codes and see if something serious is going on.
