2003 MCS Steering Tilt Mechanism

Hey guys, just recently my mini's steering wheel tilt mechanism doesn't seem to want to support much weight before it starts to slouch down. Any ideas how to make it lock in place like it once did? Thanks

I have the same problem in my 05 MCS.

Anyone know how to fix it without replacing the whole assembly?
