I have not seen anyone post this yet and was wondering if any of you have had problems with your rear wiper going out intermittently. I went through the entire summer and fall with my rear wiper busted assuming that the motor burned out, but now that the cold weather has hit us in Chicago and the salt piles on the car within seconds so I figured what the hell, let me just twist the button and see if it works and it did. I can't for the life of me figure out why this wiper seems to only work in cold weather.

Have any of you experienced this issue?

 

I would check the connections. things seem to shrink/tighten up in cold weather. Maybe a loose wire somewhere... That's all I can think of at the moment.

It's not bad to get to the motor, just remove the cover inside and unplug/plug everything back. I would recommend a can of electrical components cleaner. Kinda looks like the compressed air cans.
