Help me diagnose a strange noise!

Just recently I have been getting this scraping noise from behind the dash that is dependent on the speed of the car.
It sounds alot like the old cars would when your speedometer cable was going bad.

I can turn the engine off while coasting and still hear it. Slightly press the brake pedal and still hear it. Turning the steering wheel has no effect. Turn off HVAC fan and can still hear it. It only stops when the car is stopped and the frequency of the scraping noise changes as the speed of the car changes.

Any ideas?

Forgot to mention...

04 MCS with 80k miles.

Engaging and releasing the clutch and engine rpm's have no effect on the noise either.

Disregard...

As the noise is getting worse it's obvious that it is a wheel bearing going out.
