Cracked turbo inlet hose

Cracked turbo inlet hose
I have 07 MCS with 34K miles. I just replaced my airbox with JCW Stage 1 box. Today I discovered a crack in the inlet hose at the point where the clamp connects it with the turbo. The hose is in place and I have no issues with power or anything else. I think it's coincidental that yesterday the JCW box was installed and today I noticed a crack. I don't think it was a result of the box replacement since the hose barely moves at the point where it connects with the turbo.
The whole timing chain assembly was replaced due to famous rattle and I think the dealer just overtightened the clamp which caused the hose to crack.
Any opinions or similar issues anyone?
