I have a 05 MCSa ,the auto trans has been diag. as bad Quoted Hendricks MINI $8500.00 ...I took car to another High end Tech. he said the same .But he did get Hendrick Mini to give him a price of 7500.00 Huh ! With a life time warranty . The problem is I cannot get it repaired( no parts are being sold for this Trans ) I found a trans.w/15,000 miles on it for 3000.00 but I am going to look for a salvaged car ! i want too know how many Mini's have failed .

That's unusual for the Aisin 6 speed auto to have problems. The CVT has been known for problems if not properly maintained. What happened? How many miles on it?

Ok update ! After Mini told me that I need a Trans..(8500.00)..and was told by Mini that no parts where available for it . Being unemployed then I let it sit till I found a Savaged Car . I found a remanufacted trans in Alanta for 1/2 the price. This told me there are parts ! I took it too AAMCO here in Gastonia NC ,three weeks later they installed a New Valve Body,a new filter and Fluid ! $1800.00 Fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooohooooooooooooo I am back ! 2005 MCSa there is more ! AAMCO quoted me 1805.00 Then when I went to pick it up they gave me a bill of 2557.00 WTF long story short ! I payed 1805.00

Yes, glad to hear it was done for a good price. And, yes, I agree that was steep for the Aisin transmission. More than likely, their computer system overlapped years, and it was showing the CVT option. As an example, a local member here owns Maaco. He said the 2007 year option shows a supercharged engine in his body computer program.
