What is this noise?
I'm still getting used to the clutch on my mini S so in tight spots I ride the clutch a little. I know it's bad but I'm trying hard to stop this. Anyway. sometimes I hear a rumbling/revving noise in 1st and reverse when I don't engage the clutch all the way. Again this is only for parking or backing out. Is this noise normal?
I ask because my old manual didn't seem to make this noise.

not sure about the rumbling revving noise...does it kinda sound like a bark (or chewbacca-like)?
if so it could be just a little rust on the surface. you will know that this is it if it only does it after the car has been sitting for a day or two. Like on a Monday after it sat the whole weekend. But then you wont hear it again until the next monday.
