Need info. on Head gasket change
Been having problem with my mini overheating, after weeks of checking things it looks like it is the head gasket.
I have found that I’m getting air pressured in my coolant system, even over night the pressure is still in system, it will push out coolant to the overflow but not suck it back in do to the pressure still in the system. I remove radiator cap and coolant will return back to radiator and will be back to the max line after I bleed the air from system, after bleeding system of air it don’t look like there is any coolant loss it been staying at the same level. Only place I can think it would be getting pressured air would be from the heads. So this weekend I’m going to go ahead and change it.
What I need to know is what the head gasket bolt torque is and the sequence is.
I will be getting the full kit so all of the gasket will be changed, also getting bolt kit.
Note: This is a 2004 standard mini cooper. about 58,000 miles
