weird window - driver side won't stay closed
yesterday my driver side window started acting weird in my 09 MCS. every time i tried to auto-close by flicking the switch up, it goes all the way up, then goes back down to the middle. it didn't matter if i had the key in the ignition, with the car on, or running, or off. it just goes back down to half way every time. auto-open is no problem though. to get around this i have to stop it from going all the way up by hitting the up switch just before it gets to the very top.
has anybody experienced this or know a solution to reset? thanks

You may be able to do a user reset: hold the window switch down until the actual window has been down for a while (15 seconds) then flip the switch up and hold it there until the window has been up for a while (15 seconds). This may need several repeats. It also just may not work. If it doesn't work, the dealer will need to reprogram your car. This is a common problem that doesn't seem to have a perment fix, but the reprogram helps a lot.

Just had mine "fixed" at the car's first service.
It's the "pinch protection" that needs resetting.
I tried a couple of the DIY reset tricks posted on the forum. Didn't work.
Dealer straightened it out - and it's stayed OK, so far.
Can't imagine the problem would be too much fun in 12º weather. Brrrr.

My 08 MCS is doing the same thing.
I have to "fineness" the up command by tapping the up button to control the window manually and not use the auto close.
Tap the up toggle after it resets to middle. Don't let the auto control take over or your back to middle open window.
Once I get the window to a position 3/4 up or higher I have good luck in getting the window to shut.
It is a touch/feel thing, but it works as a band aide.
I have to wait for a new dealer to open in the summer to get mine fixed or go on a road trip.
