So... my clutch sticks a tiny bit but only when i push it the whole way in, and it sticks once it hits the floor. Anyone have this issue, and if so how did you fix it? thanx
By sticking, do you mean it doesn't want to come back up?
If that's the case, you may have a bad clutch slave cylinder. It's a fairly common problem (but as you may know by now Mini problems are all too common ).
its not that it just sits on the floor and i have to pull it back up, it feels like the spring or the bolt that holds it together is gummed up and at the very end of pushing the clutch down, when i go to let it out it sticks for just like a second, then works fine
BTW, if the clutch slave cylinder is bad, the brake fluid will be leaking out gradually (the clutch and brakes use the same fluid). So another thing you could quickly check is whether the brake fluid reservoir is full.
Oh, I had the same problem, and funny enough, the cause turned out to be the floor mat was sticking out. When I pulled the floor mat and put it in the correct position, the pedal didn't stick.
