According to Promini the fuel filter ($19.95) can be changed at 10,000 miles.

Who has changed it and where is it?
Any feedback?

I just got the car in the spring and already I need to change the fuel filter?

I havent bothered to look for it yet even though I have been under the car a few times already. If it it like most other FI cars, it's mounted in the outlet line from the fuel pump near the tank.

I'll check for certain next time I am under the car.

Anyone know for sure where the fuel filter is located? From the picture on Promini site it looks like it should be in a canister somewhere.

Are you sure the fuel filter replacement interval doesn't have another zero in there, like 100,000 miles? My 3-er had the original fuel filter, which was firmly rusted in place. When I sold it at 130k miles, it still ran like a champ

If you remove the rear seat, you should see the two access panels: the one on the left side of the car exposes the top of the tank where the fuel pump is located and the one on the right gets to the plug where the filter and a secong level sender are located. It takes a special factory tool (a bung plug tool) to remove either the pump or filter holder ... and then you have to make sure you don't drip fuel all over the inside of the car ...
