04 MCS and battery/door issue

My Mini's battery died while I was on leave, I mean dead. I also am having issues with the bowden cable and latch messing up. I currently cannot get into my car to even fix any of the issues. Anybody experienced this or know how to fix this issue? If so please let me know. Thanks in advance....

If it was the original battery, its time was up. It seems like Mini batteries go from fine to totally dead.

If your cable issue is that the interior door handle will not open the door, but the outside handle works, then its the same problem I fixed about 2 hours ago. check out this link:

It is a simple fix, but awkward and difficult to reach..

If you can't get the under back seat pull to work, put jumpers on the under hood terminals to give the car power. Then pop the hatch lock to get to the battery.

Thulchatt. Can I get to them from the underside of the car? or is there an emergency release somewhere on the outside of the car?

In the 04 there is a hatch release under the bottom of the rear seat on the driver side.
Just lift up the bottom bolster and you should see the pull.
