Well, I deleted my previous comments out of frustration because I was getting slammed from people not believing that you "can" drive a "few" miles without any oil pressure. The bearings in the crank and rods to not instantly lose lubrication when you lose your oil pressure, so you do not automatically assume the engine is toast.

I'm amazed the engine has lasted that long. Likely it will have a much shorter life than it would otherwise.

All: Should the oil light come on for ANY reason, do NOT continue to drive. Get over to the side of the road and shut if off immediately. Only in case of a real emergency should you ever continue to drive.
