If you have any questions find a shop that can do a leak down test. That way you can pin point bad valves bad rings the compression test only tells you part of the story.

For comparison, I just did a compression test on a stock block and head and came up with 175 170 180 181.

Even if 130 was normal, I would be concerned with the 30 psi variation between cylinders.

yep -- all those numbers are too low, and they should be at least within 5 lbs across all cylinders.

a good leak down would be the way forward. head? rings? both?

sorry.

thanks guys. at least i know that a compression test isn't diagnosing that the block is the issue. it's more of a general indicator.
