No connection via DLC

My car is a 2004 Mini Cooper, bought it from a guy and had no idea it was flooded. Now here is the story. It is RHD and when i try to connect with a Snapon MODIS it says no connection and the BMW dealer here is not being helpful. I am now in the process of removing all the interior along with the wire harness to check for broken wires. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Best suggestion don't buy flooded cars, keep pulling wire looking for the problem, you will probably end up replacing a lot of it. When and if you get it running I would sell it and take the financial hit as a lesson learned. I have had a fair amount of experience with flood cars, and no matter how well they were "dried out" there are always mechanical and electrical problems cropping up. Depending how long ago it got wet you should be on the lookout for engine problems.
