Does this look like it went bad? How can I tell? I have a 60 day warr. from where I bought the car for mechanical problems so I need to know if I need to take it in Also the bay isnt that dirty - just really that area/spot ... Its a 2005 MCSa with 48k miles...

Id say no. They usually weep out the little hole in the middle. Maybe it WAS bad and they replaced it.

It looks as if there is residual oil on the red paint in the upper left of the pic too. I am not sure if the fluid in the motor mount would stain the paint but it might. The mount does look rather new.

MM I hear you ... so no way to tell by sound with the engine running or anything? wouldn't it make a loose/clanking noise? Just the base of it looks stained witch made me worry to start with

The oil can stain the paint, but there is oil on the mount as well, I'd say yes it is bad, but it's leaky and not the more typical total blowout, that covers the whole bottom half of the mount.

After it's been fixed you can try some water diluted simple green and you might be able to save it if it hasn't been baked into the paint yet.

I am on the phone with them now , I don't want to clean anything yet so they can see what is going on. Can a bad motor mount cause any other damage? I have to take it in to be looked at tomorrow morning they just told me... I hope they know what they are doing since this isnt a mini dealer
