I'm leaking coolent
was driving home from work in some stop and go traffic and I got the yellow light for overheating then 2 sec later got the red one and 2 sec later it was gone again.
This morning I noticed a small puddle of coolant dripping from under the front of my car. Its to tight in there to tell were its coming from. Have to wait a week for a appointment at my dealer, should I just refill the coolant and continue driving or just let it sit?

I'd definitely put more coolant in for the drive from your home to the dealer. ...yet wouldn't drive the car if you don't have to. My guess is that you began moving (from stop-and-go) hence why the red light went off, ...as you most likely got things moving again and moving air to cool off the rad fluid.
Basically the CEL's will come on (yellow then red) when your car reaches certain temps that were set by the factory. You don't want to drive your car after those lights come on otherwise you can do serious damage. (I once cracked my engine block on an old Ford Capri as the thermostat stopped working and my guage gave no indication of over-heating).
Your engine had to have got pretty hot to trip the lights, ...I have a water temp guage installed on my MINI and even at 230 I don't trip any lights. (by the way 230 was the highest temp I've recorded ...it was about 105 outside and I was in stop and go w/ a/c on).
My advice, check the radiator water level, fill w/ more radiator fluid if needed (which it probably does) then drive car to dealer. But don't drive in-between now and then as the leak could get larger and leave you stranded if it over-heats again.

I had a thermostat problem with mine (a number of Minis had this problem), and it appeared the car was leaking coolant, although I am still suspicious the leaking issue was due to a dolt mechanic I initially took the car to. I was advised by Mini to keep engine coolant in my car with me (so I drove around with a gallon of it for about a week) and regularly check the level until I could get it to the Mini dealer.
