Hi all,

According to the dealer, my AC clutch is dead. My service advisor says that there is no OEM replacement, and that replacement of the whole compressor at $1400 is the only thing they can do. He recommended I find an aftermarket AC clutch (if available) or maybe get one from a junkyard. I've not had much luck finding an aftermarket part. Does anyone know if that exists? If yes, can you point me to a supplier?

You can buy NEW AC compressors, OEM with a new clutch for 493$, rebuilt for $290 plus install(and a new dryer,$52) ...so you might want to shop around....I have only heard of one person who found a local AC compressor re-builder that changed out the AC compressor clutch...he was in FL....Do a quick search.
