Unknown Clicking Noise Near Engine

I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S. Recently (over the past day or so), I started hearing a new clicking type noise coming from the front end. I opened the hood and just by listening, have kind of narrowed it down to the supercharger area or just below it. I've started to try and learn about cars and am still a 'newbie' at the game.

- Any ideas what it might be?
- Have others had the same issue?
- What could be the ramifications of the issue?
- What can I do to fix it?

2003 Mini Cooper S
61241 miles
~5500 miles on the current oil

Please help...

All input is appreciated and I thank you in advance.

If you mean the belt side of the SC.....

Could just be the belt. Had similar noise on a belt that was 6 mos old and a new one fixed it.

Could also be that the belt tensioner bushing is shot. Power Flex makes a replacement one.

Mechanics stethascope may help out here.

Change youre oil, it could be your crankshaft pulley is on the way out.

My 03 made a clicking noise, I determined it was the pulley and replaced it with am 05/06 one, no more noise.
I have one in good condition from an 04 if you want to buy one cheap.
