AirBags

airbag light has been on lately. and its been driving fine. i have driven about 2,000 miles since its been on. but now looking at it bothers me. i got it to the dealership and they said the airbag sensors on the passenger side is "messed" up and i need to replace a whole new sensor pad for it.. it was about 12343562333013 dollars plus labor fees?! what should i do? change it? any way i can just get rid of the light?

You could put a piece of electrical tape over the light.

+1 on the tape.

Not a cheap fix, but if you ride with any passengers it is a fix you must do.

file a report with the national traffic safety administration.

maybe mini will listen to the government if enough people voice their concerns.

I am honestly more concerned about the rediculous cost of fixing it than I am of having an airbag sensor pad.
I just want to get rid of that red light..

I've got some good used sensors that could save you a buck. Give us a call or stop by the shop your not too far away.
