So, I was driving on the highway to work today...

And all of a sudden I see a big black thing slam my windshield and fly over my car. I watch it get crushed by the multiple cars behind me, who pay no attention to what they were crushing.

Yup, see ya later hood scoop.

Waiting for a call from my dealership to figure out what exactly is going to be done about this situation.

The only thing I can guess happened is that the hood warped until the bolts on the front of the scoop came loose.

The hood scoop (clearly angry at the turbo for doing this) dumped my car in anger like a teenage boy, not realizing the consequences of its actions, and proceeded to get beat up by the huge 18-wheeled jocks that were behind me.

And FML, Peabodys service center has NOT called me back...it's been 4 hours...

When we were first looking at buying a Mini, we saw a 2009 JCW with 12,000 miles on it. But, we noticed that the scoop was warped

So, we bought a new 2010 Cooper S and purchased two mods:

m7 tuning Stubby Antenna
m7 tuning Aerogel Heat shield

The shield really makes a difference heat wise and decreases heat on the hood. I hope this will make the carbon fiber scoop last longer...

That was a great purchase and is totally worth it.
