CEL Issue - Dealer Diagnosis and Questions

So here's the story...
CEL came on about a month ago ( Yellow Engine Block Outline)
Tried to make appt. at dealer right away but of course since I live in NYC/Queens, I had to schedule three weeks in advance because of "high volume"; I Scheduled to have NY State Emissions Inspection done at same time since I'm due in August.
Bring car in and here is what the Service Tech. writes:

"CEL on at this time...Interrogated fault memory...Misfire Faults stored
Performed Misfire Test Plan.....Checked Lines and Connections.... OK
As Per test Plan performed Compression Test...OK (All Cylinders at 155-160 PSI)....
Checked High pressure Fuel Pump Lines...OK Pulled All Four Spark Plugs...OK...
Swapped Coils...Misfire did not Travel. Performed Injector Cleaning as per Bulletin. Cleared Adaptions (sp.?) and Checked OP. Cleared Fault Memory. Road Tested to Check OP. OK . Vechicle Not Misfiring at this time."

Cause: 12 02 10
0000555 Int Fault Memory in Diag System 2693 WPM
Cleaner (Part #...)
Fuel Addiditive (Part #...)
WT Cleaning the Injectors and Combustion Chambers

Now, after this they try to do the State Emission Inspection and the SA tells me that "all the systems have reset except the CO2 Sensor", so they tell me to drive the car for 60 miles, bring it back and it should be 'reset'. Do this and they tell me that the CO2 sensor is 'still not resetting'. I have to bring it back tomorrow.

Any help or comments would be appreciated from anyone who has experience with this type of issue.

Pull the battery for a good 10 - 20 min Pump the brake a few times after you do to release any stored current in the light circuit and then reconnect. I used to do this on all my older vehicles

It isn't just mileage, but drive cycles. Starting and stoping count. I had cleared a code on mine and the inspection machine knew it. 30 miles later (though the mechanic at the test station said I needed to go 100 miles) it passed.

Yeah, thanks, that makes sense.
By starting and stopping I'm assuming you mean ignition on/off cycles?
