Hello,

I had my new-to-me '05 MCS Convertible a whole week before the manual packet got jammed in the glovebox and I broke the latch prying it open.

I have the replacement box in, but I cannot figure out how to get the lock cylinder out of the old.

Looks like once upon a time there was an attachment there with instructions, but... long gone now! My Bentley guide makes no mention, and I haven't found any other relevant threads, so...

Can somebody please tell me how to get the lock cylinder out of my old glovebox and into the new?

Will be better if you post in the "1st Generation Mini" section. The 07's and up have a very different glove box

 

ok, will do, am new here and assumed '1st Gen' referred to pre-Modern Era Minis. My bad!
