flat tire light

hey guys
i am new to mini's, i get made fun of a lot because i traded my harley davidson in on one. i have a 06 and last night it just would not start so today i put a new battery in and started right up the only thing now is the low tire presure light wont go off. i tryed reseting it like the book said but it just wont go out. i did the turn the key too 2nd position and hold the button down for 30 seconds and then start the car and it did nothing. is this something that maybe i need to unhook the battery again and it will reset? any help would be great i also checked the presure and all is good.

Have you driven it? You need to drive about a quarter mile to complete the reset sequence.

A solid tire light usually means something could be wrong with the wheel speed sensors, flashing is when tire pressure is off. Those are used to help run the anti-lock brakes, dynamic/automatic stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution, and corner brake control systems. It could be a mild safety hazard. See if you can get the OBD II codes read at an Autozone.
