Outer Tie Rod replacement

Hello All.
I am in need of good advises with replacing my outer tie rod.

First of all, this is not my first time pefroming this DIY. Just have a simple issue of getting it loosen.

The lock nut towards the inner tie rod, where you can turn and lock to adjust toe setting, is jammed. I tried and tried but couldn't get it to loosen up.

Anybody have any idea what size open ends I need for the job? Unfortunately, I had some 'not-perfectly-fitting' open ends and couldn't get on it efficiently.

Also, do you loosen the lock nut before loosening up the end bolt (the one you have to get to with allen wrench?)

thank you all!

There is special tool for the inner jammed Nut. I have a special HD cresent that works perfectly on that so I dont use the special tool.

The outter is a 15 and if you have an impact wrench you dont need the allen. loosen the tie adjuster first

Thanks

Do you have any idea what size the lock nut is tho?

I remember it was not so difficult to loosening it up before with a basic open end wrench

I can't remember... The problem is if you buy a combination wrench for it its Too long to swing in the fender to break it... even if the wheel is turned all the way...
If you can find one of the Heavy duty cresent wrenches thats 12 inches long its pretty easy... and cresent wrenches are not expensive at all
